ESSC President’s report from Dave Miller.

   April’s general member meeting was nothing short of a full house with standing room only. We were fortunate to have John Martinis of Johns Sporting Goods talk about all the places to fish for local Halibut and what gear works best for his “High Percentage Fishing” strategy. Halibut is a short season and John’s power point presentation gave many of us the tools to make the best of it. The night also included a Bake Sale to raise funds for our hatchery program. Deana & Gary McGrew headed this up and thanks to all those with a sweet tooth’s we brought in $231! We are looking forward to having Jim Stahl of NW Guide Service for our May meeting and then back to John Martinis in June talking about Crabbing.
